Home Time
Drivers stay out for roughly two weeks at a stretch, and home time is talked through clearly before you are dispatched. Actual home time can shift with loads, location, and scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle
- Pick up and deliver freight on assigned Regional routes
- Maintain professional communication with customers, dispatch, and team members
- Keep equipment clean and report maintenance concerns when needed
- Secure loads and verify counts before leaving the shipper
- Communicate with dispatch about load status, delays, and delivery updates
- Follow DOT, FMCSA, company, and safety regulations
- Complete required trip paperwork and inspections
Requirements
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
- Must be at least 21 years old (federal interstate commerce requirement)
- Current DOT medical examiner's certificate
- Ability to pass DOT pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
- MVR that satisfies DOT and company safety requirements
- Minimum 6 months of recent CDL-A experience
- Comfortable operating late-model automatic and manual equipment
- Refrigerated (reefer) experience is helpful but not required
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Ability to operate safely in Regional conditions
