The Fifty/50 Restaurant Group is currently hiring for advanced level management positions for a new cocktail focused concept in River North and in Andersonville. Candidates will be responsible for the overall operation of a cocktail bar along with any related F&B amenities and report directly to the Fifty/50 Group partners & ownership.
This position will have a strong focus on organizational skills such as purchasing and scheduling along with other operational related tasks while grooming you to take on larger operations with heavier culinary operations. This candidate will have a strong desire to develop leadership and emotional maturity skills while learning to operate a busy, full-service establishment.
Interact with, direct and supervise employees on a daily basis in a fair and dignified manner
Assist with the interviewing, hiring, training, development and retention of qualified employees
Promote teamwork among co-workers and employees
Be hands on with all Front of House and Back of House positions to ensure smooth and efficient service
Authorize & control comps and voids for all service personnel
Follow up with employees and co-workers to ensure completion of assigned projects
Identify, address and document individual employee performance problems according to standard operating procedure. Discipline and/or terminate as necessary according to Fifty/50 Group procedures
Assign employee workstations
Uphold applicable policies and requirements of employment laws
Become proficient in all job functions of both Front and Back of House employees
Organize and conduct periodic informational seminars for employees
Have thorough understanding of and practice Fifty/50 Group Employee Handbook, employee benefits, and company philosophies
Assist with the scheduling, conducting, and documenting of employee reviews according to standard operating procedure
Complete projects as assigned in a timely manner
Perform varied duties to ensure proper restaurant operation according to standard operating procedure
Create atmosphere including lighting, music, and temperature levels
Address guest complaints and problems effectively and courteously on an as needed basis
Use tact and good judgment when dealing with difficult guests. Respond to their needs with patience and courtesy
