Assists physician and staff with the daily coordination of patient care to facilitate efficient patient flow and physician access. Functions as primary liaison between patients, staff and physicians. Serves as primary support for physicians in clinic. Performs Pacemaker and Device Interrogations and adjust device settings under direct supervision of cardiology in clinic. Responsible for Pacemaker/Device, Holter, Event Monitor, 12-lead ECG set-up, monitoring and reporting. Maintains precise templates and database of all information for monitors and devices
Essential Functions:

Perform pacemaker, device checks, and make programming changes per physician’s orders to ensure a smooth and positive patient experience.

Apply Holter/Event monitor and maintain rhythm reports to support the care team.

Provide patient education prep and follow-up care which includes scheduling to ensure timely and effective care for the patient.

Maintain database of all pacemakers, devices, monitors and generator/lead changes are functional and patient ready.

Take care of the monthly monitoring of implanted cardiac monitors and daily alerts as well as complete device checks to allow for immediate and/or prompt care.

Maintains overall patient experience and safety, following all emergency clinical policies and protocols, to allow for optimal experience of care.

High School Diploma or GED
-
Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
-
Previous Implantable Cardiac Device, Ambulatory Monitoring, MCOT, Holter and event monitoring

3 years of Cardiac Device Specialist experience
