American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position at a regional health center in Ottumwa, IA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of acute care experience and active TNCC certification.

Emergency Department at a 217-bed regional health center serving primarily adult and geriatric patients
-
17-bed ED unit averaging approximately 40 patient visits per day

Patient ratio of 1:6
-
Night shift: 7p–7a
-
Every other weekend required
-
On-call coverage required to support 24/7 daily volume

13-week contract
-
Charting via MediTech (experience preferred)

Active Iowa RN license or Compact RN license required

Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and TNCC

Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required

Social Security number required for consideration

Iowa SING background check (criminal and child abuse portions) required to clear prior to start

All county and state background checks must be fully cleared prior to start — no instant or statewide searches accepted

10-panel drug screening including opiates required

Titers from within the last 12 months required (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB)

Mandatory Reporter certification (Child and Adult) required

Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate

Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible

Candidates who are employed full time elsewhere are not eligible

Experience with similar-sized facilities and prior travel nursing experience are preferred
