We hold ourselves to the highest standards of patient care and regulatory compliance — and we bring that same commitment to every aspect of how we run our practice, including billing and patient finances.
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and detail-driven Dental Billing Manager to take full ownership of our billing operations. You will oversee claim submissions, manage insurance relationships, resolve billing issues, and ensure our revenue cycle runs efficiently — all while supporting a patient experience that is transparent, professional, and stress-free. This is a key leadership role with direct impact on our financial performance and day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the full dental billing cycle, including insurance claim submissions, patient invoicing, payment posting, and accounts receivable follow-up.
- Review and resolve claim denials and rejections promptly, identifying root causes and implementing corrections to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure accurate use of CDT codes and alignment with insurance policy requirements across all submitted claims.
- Work closely with dentists and clinical staff to verify treatment documentation, patient information, and procedure codes before claims are submitted.
- Monitor outstanding accounts receivable, follow up on overdue balances, and maintain healthy cash flow for the practice.
- Develop, document, and maintain billing policies and procedures, providing training and guidance to administrative staff as needed.
- Stay current on changes to dental insurance plans, benefit structures, and regulatory requirements that affect billing and compliance.
- Produce clear financial reports on billing performance, collection rates, and outstanding claims for practice leadership.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing dental billing operations with strong knowledge of dental insurance plans and claim submission processes.
- Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Carestream, or similar platforms and electronic claims processing.
- Solid understanding of CDT coding, insurance coordination of benefits, and dental billing compliance standards.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to guide and develop a small administrative team.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational ability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Join our team and bring your billing expertise to a practice that values precision, professionalism, and exceptional patient care. Your work will directly support the financial health of our practice and the experience of every patient we serve.
