Overview
We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various driving environments and be proficient in operating a dually truck pulling a 3-axle gooseneck trailer. This role is crucial for ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods while adhering to all traffic regulations and safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Navigate routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with all transportation laws.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage during transit.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with shipping supervisor
- Utilize forklifts as necessary for loading and unloading materials at various locations.
- Follow all company policies regarding safety, equipment maintenance, and customer service.
Skills
- Strong understanding of route driving techniques and freight handling procedures.
- Ability to load and unload cargo safely using appropriate equipment such as forklifts
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance with traffic regulations.
- Capability to perform basic maintenance checks on vehicles to ensure they are roadworthy.
