Job Summary

Duties
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for all retail transactions, including sales, returns, and exchanges
- Handle cash register operations with precision, managing cash drawer handling and cash handling procedures
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product selections
- Conduct product demos when applicable to showcase features and benefits to customers
- Upsell related products or accessories to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain store merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability
- Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone inquiries or follow-up calls
- Apply basic math skills for transaction calculations, discounts, and change accuracy
- Support inventory management through stock replenishment and inventory checks as needed
- Promote a positive shopping experience through clear communication skills and professional demeanor
Experience
- Previous cashier experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is highly desirable
- Supervising experience in retail or customer service roles is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities
- Experience with retail sales transactions, merchandising, and stock management enhances your fit for this role
- Bilingual skills are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases effectively
- Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail store product knowledge will support your success in this position
- Strong communication skills combined with friendly phone etiquette will help you excel in customer interactions
