Certified Personal Trainer (Part-Time to Full-Time Opportunity)
Location: Deerfield, IL
Compensation: $35–$55 per session
Start Date: August 2026
About the Opportunity
My name is Herman and I'm looking for a newly certified, ambitious personal trainer in their 20s who wants to take over my existing client base at a private gym in Northbrook, with the potential to also work with some in-home clients.
This role is ideal for someone with 6-12 months of experience who wants to accelerate their growth, develop their coaching skills, and build a long-term career in personal training.
Schedule (Hours vary a little, but expect 2-6 clients/day Monday - Saturday Morning)
Morning Shift
Afternoon/Evening Shift
- 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM preferred
Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one and two-on-one personal training sessions
- Track every workout to ensure progress
- Provide a professional, energetic, and encouraging training environment
- Schedule clients on a calendar software one week ahead
- Run consultations for potential new clients
Qualifications
Required
- Personal training certification (NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 6 months of personal training experience (1+ year preferred)
- CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain
- Reliable transportation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge & Coaching Skills

- Exercise modifications and regressions
- Working with general population adults ranging from their 30s to 70s+
