As our Plant Controller, you’ll be the financial lead for the plant—owning the numbers, guiding decisions, and helping drive performance. You’ll oversee all accounting and financial activities, ensuring everything is accurate, timely, and aligned with US GAAP and Amcor policies.
Beyond the numbers, you’ll play a key role in the business—analyzing results, spotting trends, and turning data into insights that help the plant leadership team make smart decisions. You’ll also partner closely with operations, sales, and business unit leadership to drive continuous improvement and deliver strong results.
This role supports a single site (with potential direct reports) and helps build financial capability across the plant by coaching leaders on systems, processes, and financial thinking. If you enjoy influencing outcomes, leading change, and making an impact—this is a great opportunity to do it.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Own the plant P&L, working capital (inventory), budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Turn financial data into clear, actionable insights for plant and business unit leadership
- Analyze costs (materials, labor, manufacturing) to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and financial reporting activities
- Partner with operations to improve performance and drive profitability
- Support commercial decisions using tools like PMDB and customer profitability analysis
- Ensure strong internal controls, SOX compliance, and accounting integrity
- Provide clear recommendations—not just reports—to influence business decisions
- Act as a trusted partner who can challenge and influence leadership
- Help build financial acumen across the plant leadership team
- Lead and develop your team (if applicable), including performance management and development
- Champion safety as a core value in everything you do

What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years in a manufacturing finance role
- 3+ years of leadership experience
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Excellent analytical thinking and communication skills
Why This Role:
This isn’t just a reporting role—you’ll be at the center of the operation, helping shape strategy, improve performance, and drive real business results.
