American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with ARRT(R) and ARRT(MRI) certifications for a 12-week contract at a hospital and trauma center in Janesville, WI.

Hospital-based MRI department within a trauma center setting
-
Schedule consists of 2x12-hour shifts and 2x8-hour shifts per week, totaling 40 hours
-
Includes weekend and call rotation
-
Flexible hours and alternate shifts may be required to support departmental needs

Performs MRI procedures and related techniques to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation
-
Uses MRI systems, surface coils, physiologic gating devices, and associated equipment
-
Utilizes radiology information systems including PACS
-
Graduate of an accredited radiography program; education verification required
-
Experience as an MRI Technologist required
-
ARRT(R) registration required
-
ARRT(MRI) registration required
-
Current BLS/BCLS certification required

License required if applicable

Performs venipuncture, starts and maintains venous access, and prepares and administers contrast media

Applies MRI safety principles to minimize risk to patients, staff, and others
-
Assists physicians with interventional procedures and practices aseptic technique with universal precautions

Evaluates images for technical quality and manipulates/reconstructs digital data for display and physician review
-
Works as part of a multidisciplinary team and may participate in committees and departmental projects

Provides practical instruction to partners and students as needed

Initiates basic life support action when necessary
