Job Title: Install Technician

Position Overview
The Install Tech is responsible for installing customers campers, toppers or RTTs on their vehicles with three focuses- Efficiency, Efficacy, and Hospitality. The Tech will use their time wisely to make install efficient by adhering to our guidelines for install slots. The Tech will use provided tools and resources to make sure each unit is installed effectively, with an attention to detail and also a flexibility to customer needs.
Key ResponsibilitiesInstall Execution
- Adhere directly to our standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain installation workflow.
- Maintain a well-organized, clean, and fully equipped workspace that reflects GFC’s commitment to quality.
- Ensure that all campers and toppers are complete, and up to our standards. If anything is out of the norm, an Incident Report should be submitted.
- Partner with the manufacturing and logistics teams to ensure all install components are available and ready.
- Ensure all campers, toppers, and RTTs are transported safely to install in a safe and timely manner
Customer Experience & Hospitality
- Serve as customer-facing in the install team, ensuring an informative and welcoming experience.
- Ensure customers receive a detailed walkthrough of their newly installed product, with time for Q&A.
- Work collaboratively with Retail and Service teams to offer real-time product upgrades and accessory add-ons during installation appointments.
- Handle customer inquiries, problem-solving, and escalations with professionalism and efficiency.
Inventory & Equipment Management
- Maintain accurate inventory levels for installation hardware, tools, and accessories.
- Ensure install tools and equipment are properly maintained, calibrated, and in optimal working condition.
- Work with supply chain and logistics teams to anticipate and address inventory needs proactively.
Safety & Compliance
- Implement and uphold all safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
- Conduct regular safety training and ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant standards.
- Maintain detailed records of safety procedures, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
QualificationsExperience & Education
- 3-5+ years of experience in an operations, installation, or service management role, preferably in the automotive, overlanding, or manufacturing industry.
- Experience in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical knowledge of vehicle modifications, camper installations, or overlanding gear preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills in fast-paced environments.
- Exceptional customer service abilities, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
