Work Year/Hours: 12 months/Year – (7-1/2 hours/day);
7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. or as determined by principal
Start Date: Immediately
Salary: $20.60 (Step 1) to $24.51 (Step 4) – Tier 2

Position Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge and competence in the use of computers including word processing and data base programs; willingness to upgrade skills as necessary.
- Trained, or available and willing to be trained, in the Power School student records program.
- Ability to meet and deal effectively with staff, students and community members.
- Training and experience in typing with a minimum of 50 wpm.
- Ability to take and transcribe dictation at 70 wpm.
- Ability to make accurate computations.
- Ability to operate usual office machines.
- Excellent record of accuracy and ability to meet timelines.
- Excellent record of attendance and punctuality.
Position Duties and Responsibilities (Example Only)
- Establish and maintain general office procedures in a manner consistent with good practice.
- Prepare correspondence, forms, letters, and reports as required.
- Maintain files and records, including financial reports and fundraising documentation.
- Post information to files as necessary.
- Handle routine matters in a prescribed fashion. Make minor decisions in accordance with established rules and regulations.
- Assist in the planning and organization of building activities, as requested by the Principal.
- Organize and assign building coverage for absent teachers.
- Maintain discretion in dealing with confidential building issues.
- Skilled in the use of computers, including Micro-Soft word and Excel, experience in the use of Googledoc and Office 365.
- Ability to meet the public and to develop and maintain positive working relationships with office co-workers, professional and non-professional staff and all units of the school district.
- Take dictation notes during evaluation meetings and disciplinary procedures as required.
- Organization for testing.
- Preparation for graduation ceremonies.
- Publish newsletters and building level communication.
- Process student travel, conference leaves, and work permits.
- Process time sheets, work orders, and volunteer applications.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Principal.
