Play and Learn is seeking positive, energetic, and nurturing Childcare Teachers for our Annapolis location!
Our Childcare staff will supervise and manage a group of children in cooperation with the Center Director.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Manages classroom ensuring compliance with all MSDE-OCC regulations, company standards, policies and procedures.
2. Plans, adapts and schedules age-appropriate curriculum involving various activities to stimulate the children’s cognitive skills, abilities and development.
3. Provides continuous supervision to children to ensure the health and safety of children.
4. Maintains classroom and play areas in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
5. Records daily observations of children’s behavior and activities; monitors behavioral patterns and develops assessment and profiles.
6. Cooperates with other staff to maintain the smooth functioning of the center, which at times may require changes to meet the needs of the children.
To be considered for the Early Childhood Education Teacher, the candidate must meet the guidelines of the Maryland State Department of Education - Office of Child Care:
18-year of age
High School Diploma
Experience working in an approved childcare
Individual shifts depend on the exact position applied for. Intended hours of 9:00 - 6:00 or 9:30 A.M.-6:30 P.M. with a 1 hour break. Pre-K/Preschool Lead Teacher must have 45 hrs Growth and Development, 45 hrs Preschool, 45hrs infant and toddler or CDA or degree. $17.00hrs-$18.50hrs. Hours 9:30am6:30pm and 9:00am-6:00pm. Center closing experience is a plus.
