Park Vista is seeking a dependable and hardworking Groundskeeper to join our team. The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, attractive, and welcoming outdoor environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. This role helps ensure the facility grounds are well-maintained and support a comfortable living environment for seniors.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain facility grounds, lawns, landscaping, flower beds, shrubs, and trees
- Mow grass, trim edges, weed, mulch, water plants, and perform seasonal landscaping tasks
- Remove leaves, debris, snow, and ice from sidewalks, entrances, parking lots, and common outdoor areas
- Monitor grounds for hazards and maintain safe walkways and outdoor spaces for residents
- Perform routine maintenance of outdoor furniture, fencing, signage, and exterior areas
- Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment and tools safely
- Assist with minor exterior maintenance and facility upkeep projects as assigned
- Dispose of waste and maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas
- Follow safety procedures and infection control standards
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and assist with special projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous groundskeeping, landscaping, maintenance, or related experience preferred
- Ability to operate lawn care and landscaping equipment safely
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work including bending, standing, walking, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe environment
- Must demonstrate professionalism and respectful interaction with residents, families, and staff
