Position Overview
The Residential New Construction HVAC Installer is responsible for installing HVAC systems in newly constructed homes from rough-in through final completion. This position works closely with field supervisors, lead installers, builders, and other trades to ensure systems are installed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and applicable codes.
Successful candidates will be dependable, quality-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced residential construction environment.
Primary ResponsibilitiesRough-In Installation
- Install ductwork, boots, returns, bath fan ducting, dryer vents, refrigerant lines, and ventilation systems according to company standards and mechanical codes.
- Read and follow HVAC plans, layouts, and installation drawings.
- Coordinate installations with framing, plumbing, electrical, and other trades.
- Ensure all work is completed in a clean and professional manner.
Quality & Compliance
- Follow all company installation standards and safety requirements.
- Ensure installations comply with local and state mechanical codes.
- Maintain clean, organized job sites.
- Report jobsite issues, material shortages, or design concerns to supervisors promptly.
Teamwork & Productivity
- Work efficiently to meet builder schedules and production goals.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and builder personnel.
- Assist in training helpers and apprentices when assigned.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude on all job sites.
QualificationsRequired
- Residential HVAC installation experience.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and jobsite equipment.
- Ability to read tape measures and basic construction drawings.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoor conditions.
- Kentucky HVAC Journeyman License.
Preferred
- Residential new construction HVAC experience.
- EPA 608 Certification.
- Experience working in production homebuilding environments.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
