American Ostrich Farms is seeking a full-time Fulfillment, Customer Service, and Product Associate (FPA) at a small direct-to-consumer eCommerce company based in Kuna, Idaho. The position offers a dynamic and growth-oriented role in a fast-paced environment. Working across departments, the FPA will play a critical role executing order fulfillment, inventory management, production of value-added items, and customer service activities.
Note: This is primarily an on-site position, located on a working ranch approximately 20 minutes south of the Boise Airport in Kuna. A limited amount (generally 1–2 hours) of customer service must be performed over the weekend to ensure SLA targets are met; this work may be performed remotely from home.
Key ResponsibilitiesFulfillment Center (FC):
- Package and ship various orders, including dry products and frozen meats.
- Routinely stock all fulfillment products, shipping materials, office supplies, packaging, insulation, and other operational necessities to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
- Maintain and clean work areas consistently
- Conduct detailed inventory management tasks, cycle counts, and related documentation.
- Coordinate carrier pickups and deliveries, including freight, as needed.
- Organize and maintain cold storage at on- and off-site locations.
- Take ownership of the ongoing organization, rotation, and maintenance of frozen inventory in walk-in freezers, ensuring products are consistently stored and rotated using First-In, First-Out (FIFO) practices.
- Maintain exceptionally clean, organized, and efficient workspaces while continuously identifying opportunities to improve organization and workflow.
- Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts (or become certified), and safely use ladders while moving inventory and supplies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Product Center:
- Process, cook, create, and package raw meat products for our premium pet food line while adhering to strict food safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
- Follow detailed production protocols using precise measurements, recipes, and specialized equipment.
- Maintain detailed electronic records and complete reports documenting product-related activities, inventory, costs, and production efficiencies.
- Oversee the organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of all areas used for raw materials, packaging, finished goods, and shipping.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels of ingredients, packaging, and production supplies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Customer Service:
- Monitor and resolve customer service tickets, responding to inquiries in a timely, professional, and empathetic manner by email or phone.
- Process returns, refunds, exchanges, and replacements.
- Maintain FAQ response templates and assist in developing workflow automations within customer service software.
- Ensure urgent tickets are processed within required SLA timeframes (within 24 hours, including weekends).
- Be available to perform approximately 1–2 hours of weekend customer service remotely to maintain customer response standards.
- Must be available to work on-site Monday through Friday. Certain responsibilities may be performed from home with Manager approval.

- Physical fitness and stamina, including the ability to safely lift 50 pounds to chest height, climb ladders, move heavy inventory, and work in a fast-paced environment across both indoor and outdoor settings.
- Willingness to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (training/certification provided if necessary).
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and order/project management software.
- Comfortable working independently while also collaborating effectively with a small, close-knit team.
