Entry-Level Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician
Position Summary
Join our entry-level Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician team and become an integral part of maintaining the reliability and availability of our critical infrastructure. In this role, you will monitor and support the day-to-day operations of our network systems, data center facilities, environmental systems, and customer services. As the first point of contact for alarms, incidents, and customer requests, you will play a key role in ensuring timely response, accurate escalation, and efficient resolution in a 24x7 operational environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor network, server, and data center infrastructure using monitoring platforms.
- Respond to alarms, alerts, and system notifications in accordance with established procedures.
- Create, update, and manage incident and service tickets through the ticketing system.
- Escalate incidents to engineering, facilities, vendors, or on-call personnel based on severity and established escalation procedures.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of network connectivity, hardware, and environmental monitoring systems.
- Perform routine operational walkthroughs and equipment inspections.
- Coordinate customer access requests, remote hands services, and visitor/vendor access.
- Provide timely and professional communication with customers regarding incidents, maintenance, and service requests.
- Document all activities, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions accurately.
- Participate in shift handoffs and maintain detailed operational logs.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), runbooks, and security policies.
- Assist with scheduled maintenance activities and change management procedures.
- Maintain situational awareness during emergency events and support incident response efforts.
Monitor critical infrastructure, including:
- UPS systems
- Generators
- Power Distribution Units (PDUs)
- HVAC and cooling systems
- Environmental sensors
- Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Security and access control systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
- 0–2 years of experience in IT, networking, customer service, or technical support.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, networking, and operating systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to reliably commute to and from work.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overnight schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
- CompTIA A+
- Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and switching/routing concepts.
- Familiarity with Zendesk ticketing system.
- Experience with monitoring platforms or Building Management Systems is a plus.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Occasionally lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work within a data center environment, including exposure to moderate noise and varying temperatures.
Work Environment
- 24x7 Network Operations Center supporting multiple facilities.
- Ability to work a rotating schedule, including 12-hour shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays, based on operational needs.

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
