Job Title: Tape Operator
Location: Frazeysburg, OH
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 4:15 PM - 2:45 AM
- (2) 15 min paid breaks and (1) 30 min unpaid lunch
Pay Rate: Starting up to $19.25/hr
Job Summary:
The Tape Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring production equipment used in the manufacturing process. This position plays a key role in maintaining product quality, meeting production goals, and supporting safe and efficient operations.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a production environment both independently and as part of a team.
Previous machine operation, manufacturing, or industrial experience is preferred.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently
- Learn and follow work instructions, procedures, and production specifications
- Perform machine startup, shutdown, and basic troubleshooting
- Load and manage production materials including creels and rewind stations
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure product standards are met
- Utilize HMI controls and ERP systems for production tracking and data entry
- Maintain production goals and efficiency standards
- Follow Lock Out / Tag Out and all company safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area using 5S principles
- Communicate effectively with production, quality, maintenance, engineering, and leadership teams
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and process improvements
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous manufacturing, machine operation, or industrial experience preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability preferred
- Ability to read work instructions and basic production specifications
- Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong attendance, communication, and teamwork skills
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
