Since 2007, Accena SWPPP Services has partnered with construction contractors, developers, excavators, and property owners delivering expert Stormwater Pollution Prevention (SWPPP) services, ensuring construction sites stay legally compliant and environmentally responsible.
This is a small niche that you probably never heard of but that doesn't matter. We will orient and train you for your new position.
We are seeking a unique hybrid talent: someone who has a knack for marketing and the aptitude for numbers, measuring, and calculating project specs. You will become an expert at calculating and completing estimates while assisting in outreach to prospective clients.
This is a permanent, part-time position designed for a self-starter who enjoys variety. You will split your time between email and social media marketing and helping our operations team bid on new work.
Your new role requires a unique personality.
- High Conscientiousness: This is the most crucial trait. It includes being methodical, organized, reliable, and having a strong sense of duty to ensure nothing is missed.
- Analytical/Systematic: Do you enjoy breaking down complex plans (i.e. civil engineering plans) into small, manageable data points (take-offs)? Are you good at logical reasoning and mathematical calculations?
- Accuracy-Driven: Are you naturally motivated by correctness and accuracy, seeing errors as failures? Are you detail oriented?
- Calm and Patient: The nature of the work involves detailed checking and rechecking, requiring patience and a controlled, restrained approach.
While not required, the following experience is highly advantageous and preferred.
- Construction Plan Reading: Essential to identify SWPPP requirements to complete construction “take-offs” and understanding project scope. Familiarity with the construction industry is a major plus, but we are willing to train someone with high "spatial intelligence."
- Microsoft Word and Excel (or the Google equivalents): Critical for data entry and management, preparing estimates, and managing bid requests.
Our ideal co-worker has the following skills:
- The Hybrid Mindset: You are comfortable toggling between marketing and technical details.
- Attention to Detail (Accuracy): You are determined to maintain 100% accuracy in your work.
- Organizational Skills: You can manage multiple bid requests, proposals, and project documentation simultaneously.
- Time Management: Bids have hard deadlines, so you are capable of prioritizing and meeting strict timelines.
- Verbal Phone Communication: You have a willingness to professionally follow-up on bid requests from estimators and project managers on the phone.
Why apply?
- Stability: We are a vital part of the construction ecosystem. Rain or shine, builders need SWPPP services. We have been a reliable partner for nearly 20 years.
- Flexibility: Perfect for a professional seeking a consistent part-time schedule (hours can be discussed to fit your lifestyle).
- Growth: You’ll work directly with leadership, giving you a front-row seat to how a specialized construction subcontracting business operates. Pay will increase as your experience increases and our company continues to grow.
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Application Question(s):
