As an owner operator with Can-Am Transport, you’ll be responsible for delivering units efficiently and safely while managing your own schedule and maximizing your income. Position Overview
Can-Am Transport is looking for CDL Owner Operators and Non-CDL to join our fleet. With a 2500/3500 truck. Diesel trucks ONLY. We are seeking self-driven, independent individuals who can manage their own business, equipment, and finances.
If you cannot maintain your equipment to DOT standards or manage money effectively, please do not apply.
These positions will be filled ONLY after interviews to ensure the right fit.
Pay Structure
- Starting at $1.75/mile and up
- $2.00 – $2.75/mile for single pull units
- $3.10/mile for multi-haul units
- $2.00/mile (loaded) for ALL non-CDL runs
- Some tolls are covered/paid by Can-Am Transport
Insurance (Under Our Authority)
- Drivers operating under Can-Am Transport’s authority are required to carry company-provided insurance
- $220/week insurance cost (driver responsibility)
Dispatch & Work Style
- No forced dispatch when it comes to time off — take the time you need
- While running, you may:
- Receive multiple load options
- Be assigned specific loads that must move to meet deadlines
We do our best to keep everyone happy, but understand — every night can’t be prom night.
Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers (manual transmission) hauling RV units across regional and long-haul routes
- Transport large RVs and towable units while ensuring proper weight distribution and safety compliance
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections (brakes, tires, lights, safety equipment)
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and deliveries in compliance with regulations
- Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery deadlines and reduce delays
- Communicate with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding pickups and deliveries
- Maintain and manage your own truck and equipment to DOT standards
Skills & Qualifications
- Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License)
- Passport required (for Canada hauls)
- Proven experience in commercial driving and hauling large units preferred
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and compliance
- Ability to operate and maintain equipment independently
- Financial discipline and ability to manage business expenses
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
