POSITION OVERIEW
We are seeking a detailed-oriented and mechanically inclined Assembly Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling electric motors, gas engines, blowers, electrical components, and other intricate components with precision and accuracy. This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, the ability to work with small and intricate parts, and the adherence to timing and quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Assemble, test, and inspect engine and mechanical assemblies according to specifications and build guides.
· Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to assemble components.
· Identify and resolve assembly issues, including misaligned parts, improper fits, or any other irregularities.
· Conduct functional tests on completed assemblies to ensure performance and compliance with quality standards.
· Maintain a clean and organized workplace to ensure efficiency and safety.
· Follow all safety protocols, quality standards, and work instructions.
· Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
· Document assembly processes and report discrepancies or potential improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
· Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity for handling small parts.
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
· Familiarity with measuring and hand tools.
· Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot assembly, mechanical, and electrical issues.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Previous experience in mechanical assembly, preferably with small engines or similar components.
· Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
· Knowledge of safety standards for mechanical assembly operations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
· Indoor manufacturing/workshop setting.
· Exposure to noise, grease, and other typical conditions of a mechanical assembly environment.
· Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
