Nicholasville-Jessamine County Parks & Recreation is seeking a dedicated and collaborative professional to lead accessible recreation programs, events, and partnerships for participants of all ages and abilities. This position promotes accessibility and equitable participation through adaptive recreation programming, community partnerships, and accommodations that support individuals with disabilities.
· Key responsibilities: Plan and evaluate adaptive recreation programs; coordinate accommodations and equipment; develop community partnerships; and oversee staff, volunteers, budgets, outreach, and program operations.
· Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation or a related field, two years of related experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and knowledge of inclusive practices and ADA requirements. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
· Schedule: 40 hours per week, primarily Monday–Friday, with some evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call assignments.
