Harvest Landscape is seeking a skilled, physically fit, and detail-oriented Diesel Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered vehicles and equipment to ensure they operate safely and efficiently.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, mechanically skilled, and able to communicate effectively while maintaining accurate service records. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse fleet of equipment in a challenging and rewarding environment.
Responsibilities:
- Running diagnostic tests on vehicles.
- Analyzing diagnostic test results to determine appropriate repairs
- Repair or replace engine, steering, transmission, braking, lighting, and other vehicle components.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair vehicle lighting systems.
- Test-drive vehicles to verify repairs and evaluate performance.
- Perform preventative maintenance on service trucks and diesel equipment.
- Complete accurate and detailed service and repair records.
- Follow inspection procedures and maintenance checklists.
- Maintain an organized parts inventory.
- Keep the shop clean, safe, and organized.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Diesel Mechanic Requirements:
- ASE Diesel Certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must provide and maintain your own tools.
- Advanced knowledge of diesel engines and related systems.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency with maintenance and repair equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift heavy components and perform physically demanding work.
