Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across various routes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a range of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, while ensuring compliance with all safety and transportation regulations. As a key player in our logistics network, you'll be responsible for transporting goods over the road (OTR), handling hazardous materials when required, and maintaining excellent customer service throughout every delivery. Your expertise will help keep our operations running smoothly and our clients satisfied.
Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers with manual or automatic transmissions, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Drive over the road (OTR) routes, ensuring timely deliveries across regional or national destinations.
- Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques or truck loading equipment, managing cargo such as freight, hazardous materials (hazmat), dangerous goods, or specialized loads like refrigerated cargo, flatbeds, or tankers.
- Use GPS navigation systems to plan optimal routes, monitor traffic conditions, and ensure efficient delivery schedules.
- Transport automobile transportation loads when applicable, ensuring proper securing and handling of vehicles or other sensitive cargo.
- Comply with hazardous materials regulations during the transportation of dangerous goods, maintaining safety protocols at all times.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips; report any mechanical issues promptly to maintain fleet safety standards.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries made, and cargo handled in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries; provide excellent customer service during interactions.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving across long distances or regional routes.
- Hands-on experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or other specialized trucking equipment preferred.
- Familiarity with truck loading/unloading procedures and logistics cargo handling techniques.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance standards, and hazardous materials regulations required for transporting dangerous goods safely.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the type of freight transported (e.g., hazmat endorsement if applicable).
- Experience operating trucks with manual transmission is advantageous but not mandatory; training provided if needed.
- Ability to handle manual handling tasks safely while loading/unloading cargo; physically fit for extended driving periods on OTR routes.

Pay: $650.00 - $700.00 per week
