Signature Lawn and Landscape is looking for a dependable Assistant Landscape Foreman to help lead our landscape installation crews.
This is a hands-on position for someone who wants to grow into a Landscape Foreman role. You will work alongside the Foreman and crew while helping keep projects organized, productive, safe, and completed to our quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist with leading a 2–4 person landscape installation crew.
- Help assign daily tasks and keep the crew productive.
- Work hands-on with landscape and hardscape installations.
- Install sod, plants, mulch, drainage, irrigation, pavers, retaining walls, fire pits, and outdoor living projects.
- Operate landscape equipment and power tools.
- Drive company trucks and safely pull landscape and equipment trailers.
- Load and unload heavy equipment at the shop and jobsite.
- Secure equipment and materials properly for transportation.
- Inspect trucks, trailers, and equipment before and after use.
- Help load and unload landscape materials.
- Help organize trucks, trailers, tools, and equipment at the shop.
- Maintain clean and organized jobsites.
- Protect customer property.
- Monitor quality and correct issues in the field.
- Help train less-experienced crew members.
- Communicate material, equipment, and jobsite needs to the Foreman.
- Follow all company safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina driver's license required.
- Must be able to safely drive company trucks and pull trailers.
- Must be comfortable loading and unloading heavy landscape equipment.
- Must be able to safely secure equipment and materials for transportation.
- Clean and responsible driving record preferred.
- Landscape or construction experience preferred.
- Hardscape experience is a plus.
- Equipment operation experience is a plus.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Hardworking and physically capable.
- Able to work outdoors in changing weather.
- Comfortable working as part of a crew.
- Able to take direction and eventually provide direction.
- Takes pride in quality workmanship.
- Wants to advance into a leadership position.
Pay & Advancement
Starting Pay: $20–$22/hour, based on experience and skill level.
30-Day Performance Review:
Opportunity for a performance-based pay increase based on reliability, work quality, productivity, attitude, driving, equipment handling, and ability to take on additional responsibility.
90-Day Performance Review:
Opportunity for another performance-based increase for employees demonstrating Assistant Foreman-level skills, leadership, equipment handling, and jobsite responsibility.
Strong performers will have the opportunity to advance toward Landscape Foreman, with increased responsibility and compensation.

Physical Requirements
Must be able to perform physical landscape construction work, including lifting and moving heavy materials and equipment, digging, shoveling, grading, carrying, bending, kneeling, loading/unloading equipment, and working outdoors for extended periods.
