Lauren Collander Interiors is a luxury interior design firm based in Naperville, Illinois with studios in Chicago, North Shore and Denver, Colorado, specializing in luxury design. Projects range from new construction homes to large renovations, full home furnishings, and boutique commercial projects.
We seek a Junior Interior Designer to join our Naperville Studio. This position will focus on supporting the design team across all phases of residential interior architectural and furnishing design, including new construction, renovations, and FF&E. This is a hands-on, fast paced environment with growth opportunity within a highly supportive and collaborative environment.
The ideal candidate has:

- The ability to be detail-oriented, organized, and pivot while supporting multiple projects and managing a variety of tasks.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

2. TEAM AND STUDIO SUPPORT
- Support Senior Designers in client communications and meeting preparation
- Assist in preparing drawings, presentations, materials, and design documentation
- Participate in client meetings and take detailed notes for team follow-up
- Communicate professionally with vendors, showrooms, and project partners as directed
- Organize and maintain studio material library
- Represent the firm with positivity and professionalism in all interactions
3. TECHNICAL PROFICIENCIES
- Foundational and fundamental knowledge of residential interior design phases and what is included
- Assist in the development of design presentations, budgets, and material palettes
- Support the creation of drawings, finish schedules, and FF&E specifications
- Ability to communicate design ideas visually through presentations and drawings
- Basic understanding of construction drawings
- Exposure to luxury furnishings and materials, with a desire to expand knowledge
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office/Google Workspace; willingness to learn programs like Ivy

REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or related field
- 1–3 years of experience at an interior design firm (residential preferred)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new systems and processes
- Reliable transportation to job sites within the Chicago area
- Ability to work from studio locations (Chicago, North Short, Naperville) as needed
