The Meridian of Galveston is looking for hardworking, caring and dependable CNA’s.
SUMMARY: Certified CNA’s are responsible for providing professional, compassionate, and quality care for all residents.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- TEAMWORK & COMMUNICATION
- Assists residents with activities of daily living (ADL’s).
- Implements and supports resident care plan.
- Provides for the residents’ physical care including lifting, bathing, performing hygiene tasks, toileting, assisting with meals, and other tasks.
- Change bed linens and assist to maintain tidiness of residents’ rooms, closets, and dresser drawers.
- Engages residents in meaningful conversation and activities related to their individual interests.
- Maintains professional approach to responsibilities (uniform, start times, absenteeism, confidentiality, communication with residents, family members, other staff members, and daily work responsibilities).
- Promptly responds to all resident care needs.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Nurse Aide Certification required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write and correspondence in English.
- Must work well with other staff towards overall resident care.
