Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, including experience with industrial settings. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment while ensuring compliance with all safety standards and regulations. The Electrician will work closely with other tradespeople on construction sites and must be proficient in reading blueprints and schematics.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, and ohmmeters.
- Ensure all installations comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Work collaboratively on construction sites to support project timelines and safety protocols.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or malfunctions.
- Provide recommendations for upgrades or improvements to existing electrical systems.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Electrician in an industrial setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with low voltage systems is a plus.
- Proficient in using testing equipment such as voltmeters, ammeters, and ohmmeters.
- Strong understanding of NEC regulations and safety practices in electrical work.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
- Experience working on construction sites is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.
