We are seeking a Construction Coordinator to support capital construction projects throughout the NorthEast Beltway region. This role is responsible for project coordination, job creation, workflow management, milestone tracking, and administrative and financial quality control activities for construction projects. The Construction Coordinator will help ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with established quality standards.
This position is a hybrid field and office role, spending approximately 60% of the time in the field and 40% in the office. The selected candidate will primarily support projects throughout Cabell County and Putnam County, West Virginia.
- Coordinate and manage construction project workflows from job creation through project closeout.
- Track project milestones, schedules, deliverables, and overall construction progress.
- Perform field visits to monitor project status, verify work completion, and ensure quality standards are met.
- Support process controls and reporting related to construction performance and productivity.
- Monitor material usage, inventory, and project-related material management activities.
- Review and maintain project documentation, permits, work orders, and project records.
- Assist with financial controls including budget tracking, invoice validation, cost analysis, and project reporting.
- Ensure compliance with company construction standards, safety requirements, and quality control procedures.
- Collaborate with construction crews, contractors, project managers, engineering teams, and other stakeholders to resolve project issues and maintain schedules.
- Provide regular status updates and reports to leadership regarding project performance, milestones, risks, and financial metrics.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance project execution and operational efficiency.
- 2+ years of experience in construction coordination, construction management, project coordination, telecommunications construction, utility construction, or a related field.
- Experience managing project schedules, milestones, and project documentation.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and manage competing deadlines.
- Experience tracking budgets, costs, invoices, or financial project controls.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory.
- Experience supporting cable, broadband, telecommunications, or outside plant (OSP) construction projects.
- Knowledge of construction processes, field operations, and contractor management.
- Familiarity with quality control and construction compliance procedures.
- Experience with project management tools and reporting systems.
- Understanding of material management and inventory tracking processes.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
- Approximately 60% field-based work supporting construction activities in Cabell County and Putnam County, WV.
- Approximately 40% office-based work focused on reporting, project administration, scheduling, financial controls, and coordination activities.
- Frequent interaction with field crews, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
