Caregiver / Homemaker Companion – Southwest Florida
Welltrust Health Group is hiring compassionate, dependable, and professional Caregivers/Homemaker Companions to provide non-medical support to older adults in their homes throughout Southwest Florida.
We are currently recruiting caregivers in Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Estero, Bonita Springs, Naples, and surrounding Southwest Florida communities.
Applicants may select the cities and areas where they are willing to accept assignments.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and meaningful social interaction
- Prepare simple meals and snacks
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry
- Assist with grocery shopping and household errands
- Accompany clients to appointments and community activities
- Provide medication reminders
- Help clients maintain their daily routines
- Offer respite and support for family caregivers
- Observe and report client concerns to Welltrust Health Group
- Complete accurate visit notes and communicate professionally with the office
This is a non-medical homemaker and companion position. Employees must provide services within the responsibilities and limitations of their assigned role.
Qualifications
- Compassionate, patient, dependable, and respectful
- Previous caregiving, companion care, senior care, homemaking, or family caregiving experience preferred
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance
- Ability to travel to clients’ homes within your selected service area
- Ability to pass all required background screening
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification
- Reliable smartphone and ability to complete electronic visit documentation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus, but not required
Schedule
- Part-time
- Flexible scheduling
- Approximately 10–30 hours per week, depending on client assignments
- Morning, afternoon, evening, weekend, and occasional respite assignments may be available
Hours will vary based on client needs, caregiver availability, assignment location, and scheduling. A minimum number of weekly hours is not guaranteed.
Pay
$17.00–$20.00 per hour
Pay is based on experience, qualifications, assignment location, schedule, and client needs.
