We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical work, including both high and low voltage systems. This role involves working on various projects, including renovations and new constructions, primarily in commercial settings. The Journeyperson Electrician will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical installations and repairs meet industry standards and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Utilize tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Perform renovations that require electrical work, ensuring compliance with local codes.
- Work with high voltage and low voltage systems as needed.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, to complete projects efficiently.
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Journeyperson Electrician or similar role in the electrical field.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including installation and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficient in reading blueprints and technical diagrams related to electrical installations.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team on various projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
