The Director of the Highlander Union Building (HUB) is responsible for the direct management and fiscal oversight of the HUB. The HUB's mission is to enhance the educational, recreational and social experiences of the campus community. The HUB offers 160,000 square feet of programming, event, office, dining and outdoor spaces. This includes the facilities management of Costo Hall and the Student Success Center. The HUB Director will have direct oversight of the policies and procedures associated with managing the Highlander Union, including facilities, event policies, strategic planning, programming and capital projects. In addition to direct oversight of the Highlander Union, the incumbent will liaison with other critical campus departments including Student Affairs, Auxiliary Services, Facilities Services, Campus Safety, Risk Management, Environmental Health & Safety as well as the offices associated with the VC of Health, Well-Being and Safety. The HUB Director will also manage free speech and expressive activity in association with the Vice-Chancellor for Student Affairs office. The full salary range for the Director, Highlander Union Building (HUB Operations) is $84,100.00 - $154,700.00 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $119,400.00 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time.
