Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a strong background in pet care, grooming, and handling. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to our clients' pets while ensuring their comfort and safety. Your expertise in animal handling and care will contribute to the overall well-being of the pets in our facility.
Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling for various breeds of dogs and other pets.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of all animals during grooming sessions through proper handling techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area, including tools and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ grooming needs and provide recommendations for care.
- Handle any behavioral issues with patience and skill, utilizing your knowledge of dog training and animal restraint as necessary.
- Assist in the overall care of animals in the facility, including feeding, exercising, and monitoring health conditions.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients while building lasting relationships with both pets and their owners.
Experience
- Previous experience in pet grooming is required; certification is a plus.
- Background in veterinary technician or veterinary assistant roles is highly desirable.
- Experience with dog training, animal handling, or equine care is beneficial.
- Familiarity with kennel operations or pet sitting services is an advantage.
- Strong customer service skills are essential to ensure client satisfaction.
