Woodlands Coffee Roasters & Cafe is a local, family-owned, casual, upscale restaurant with a rustic, Tuscan, aesthetically rich, warm atmosphere! The culture is wholesome and embracing. We are inviting our teammates into our family-oriented environment who desire to serve our community with a purpose deeper than worldly gain and driven from the perspective of "seeking to serve and not be served." We are in the HOSPITALITY industry where the customer is ALWAYS FIRST!! Our company's motto is: "Everyone leaves better than they came..."
OUR “WOODLANDS WHY...” - Woodlands Coffee Roasters & Cafe will be finished with construction by the end of the year (2023)! We long to be a “City On A Hill” for our Middle Georgia community and HOPE for the youth (“Mighty Warriors”) at Orphanage Emmanuel in Guaimaca, Honduras, the former home of our beloved son, Henson, who we adopted 6 years ago. (He is now a thriving sophomore at Mercer University!!) Our Henson & our family are reaching back into the lives of the other hundreds of kids we could not adopt and providing them a path to freedom; the priceless opportunity to rise from the ashes, and break the chains of generational poverty through “The Orphanage Coffee Project!”
“THE ORPHANAGE COFFEE PROJECT” - Through the compassionate & selfless heart & help of a local pastor & coffee farmer in Honduras, Pastor Donaldo Acosta (AKA - “Mr. Miyagi”), who lives about 30 minutes from Henson’s Orphanage, we have developed “The Orphanage Coffee Project!!” Thus far, we have planted 12,000 of our Woodlands coffee plants at the orphanage. Mr. Miyagi educates these mighty warriors in “all the ways of coffee!” "The Orphanage Coffee Project” is creating education, training, & career opportunities for the age-appropriate youth at Orphanage Emmanuel! They are learning a valuable trade that will give them the tools to support themselves and their families! It’s teaching them to DREAM... creating them a FUTURE... & providing them HOPE!!
