Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Lead Toddler Teacher to inspire young learners during their crucial early childhood years. Duties
- Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans focused on early childhood education, literacy, math, physical activity, and social skills.
- Lead daily classroom activities that promote exploration, creativity, and learning in a safe, inclusive environment.
- Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress, developmental milestones, and any concerns effectively.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or classroom aides to ensure high-quality instruction and consistent routines.
- Maintain accurate records of child development progress, attendance, incident reports, and standardized testing results as needed.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR certifications.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, specifically with toddlers or preschool-aged children.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques.
- Experience with special education needs, early intervention programs, or behavior management is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
- Valid certification in first aid and CPR; ongoing professional development in early childhood education preferred.
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations.
