Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS system
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, ensuring proper presentation and temperature
- Assist with food handling, sanitation, and basic food preparation as needed
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, special requests, and feedback promptly
- Upsell menu items, including wine pairings or specialty dishes, to enhance sales
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations; bus tables and reset for new guests
- Use reservation systems like OpenTable to manage bookings and optimize seating flow
- Follow food safety standards and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe environment for all
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely delivery of orders in a fast-paced setting
Requirements
- Previous restaurant or food service experience
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with an energetic, positive attitude
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy hours while maintaining quality service
- Knowledge of food handling safety protocols and sanitation standards
- Experience with food industry tools like OpenTable for reservations and guest management
- Excellent communication skills; ability to upsell and promote menu items confidently
- Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and bill splitting
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required in a lively hospitality setting
