Job Title: Speech Therapist
Location: Skowhegan, ME

Position Summary
The Speech Therapist will work directly with students experiencing speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication challenges. This role involves conducting evaluations, developing therapy plans, providing individual and group therapy services, and collaborating with teachers, families, and support staff to promote student growth and success.
Responsibilities

- Conduct speech and language screenings, evaluations, and assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student IEP needs and goals.
- Provide direct speech therapy services in individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and parents to support student development.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to goal development.
- Monitor and document student progress toward therapy goals.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Recommend classroom accommodations and communication strategies.
- Support students in developing effective communication skills for academic and social success.
- Stay current on best practices and advancements in speech therapy.
- Report any safety hazards to immediate supervisor.
- Help maintain a safe environment for all by adhering to company safety guidelines and protocols.
- Complete other duties as needed as duties are subject to change to meet organizational goals and objectives.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree from an accredited Speech-Language Therapy program.
- Current Maine Speech-Language Therapy licensure.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred but not required.
- Experience working with children in educational, therapeutic, behavioral health or other related settings preferred.
- Knowledge of special education law, IEP processes and related service requirements preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to handle high stress situations with professionalism.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and successful completion of required background and pre-employment screening required.

Schedule
- 200 Day School Year consisting of 185 school days and 15 days for Extended School Year.
- Monday-Friday, 7:30AM-3:30PM.
