Job Summary

Duties
- Operate dishwashing equipment efficiently to clean cookware, utensils, plates, glasses, and kitchen tools
- Sort and organize dirty dishes and kitchenware for optimal cleaning flow
- Ensure all food preparation and service areas meet strict food safety standards in handling and sanitation
- Assist with basic meal preparation tasks such as slicing ingredients using proper knife skills and following safety protocols
- Support food production by maintaining cleanliness of workstations and storage areas
- Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, trays, and boxes safely to prevent injury
- Follow all safety procedures related to food handling, equipment operation, and heavy lifting to maintain a safe work environment
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Basic knife skills and familiarity with slicing techniques are advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety management and sanitation standards in the food industry
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper technique
- Strong attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas
- Good communication skills and a customer service-oriented attitude
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients or managing inventory when needed
- Willingness to learn about culinary techniques, food preparation equipment operation, and sensory evaluation practices
