Job Overview:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays an essential role in providing compassionate and effective care to clients in a structured inpatient detox and behavioral health setting. The LPN assists in the implementation of nursing care plans, monitors client status, administers medications, and ensures the highest standards of safety, confidentiality, and compliance with state and facility policies.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- · Provide direct nursing care to clients undergoing detoxification and mental health treatment in accordance with physician orders and established nursing standards.
- · Administer prescribed medications and monitor clients for side effects or adverse reactions.
- · Monitor and document vital signs, withdrawal symptoms, and behavioral changes accurately in clients records.
- · Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers, ensuring all documentation and assessments are complete.
- · Support RN and medical staff in crisis interventions, de-escalation, and emergency situations.
- · Maintain a therapeutic and professional relationship with clients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
- · Participate in treatment team meetings and contribute to individualized client care planning.
- · Ensure compliance with infection control, medication administration, and safety protocols.
- · Educate patients about medications, treatment plans, and self-care strategies as directed by the care team.
- · Uphold HIPAA and confidentiality standards at all times.
Requirements:
- · Current and valid Indiana LPN license in good standing.
- · Minimum 1 year of experience in a behavioral health, detox, or medical-surgical setting preferred.
- · Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- · Strong understanding of substance use disorders, withdrawal management, and mental health diagnoses preferred.
- · Excellent communication, observation, and critical-thinking skills.
- · Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and handle stressful situations with professionalism.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
