Duties
- Assist in managing daily property operations, including lease administration, rent collection, and maintenance coordination
- Support the preparation and execution of lease or rental agreements, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards
- Utilize property management tools to track occupancy, rent payments, and maintenance requests
- Handle client communication with professionalism, addressing inquiries related to leasing, rent payments, or property issues
- Support budgeting processes by tracking expenses and assisting with financial reporting for properties under management
- Maintain accurate records through data entry, filing, and updating property management databases such as CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
- Collaborate with team members on conflict management and resolution efforts to uphold tenant satisfaction and community harmony
- Assist in ensuring properties meet Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 guidelines, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) requirements, and other legal standards
- Support facilities management tasks including property maintenance scheduling and vendor coordination
- Contribute to upselling efforts by promoting available units or additional services to prospective tenants
Qualifications
- Proven experience in real estate administrative roles or property management companies with familiarity using Rent Manager, Yardi, OneSite, or similar tools
- Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law
- Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and client relationship management abilities
- Experience in lease or rental agreement management along with negotiation skills for tenant relations
- Proficiency in Google Workspace
- Background in property leasing, sales, facilities management or related fields is highly desirable
- Ability to handle conflict resolution effectively while maintaining positive tenant relationships
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in filing, data entry, and administrative tasks
- Demonstrated team management capabilities and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment
