Position Overview
We’re looking for a hands-on Production Line Lead to oversee daily operations on our canning and printing line. This role ensures the team hits production goals, maintains quality standards, and works safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate has leadership experience in a production setting, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to coach and coordinate a small team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead pre-shift meetings, review staffing, production goals, and previous shift issues.
- Assign and oversee roles for Depal, Printer, and Palletizer operators.
- Ensure smooth operation of digital printers, depalletizing, and palletizing equipment.
- Monitor quality checks, samples, and proofs to meet customer specs.
- Assist with troubleshooting machine issues (print head cleaning, diameter checks, filter swaps, etc.).
- Enforce safety procedures including PPE, lockout/tagout, and GMP standards.
- Maintain organized, clean work areas and ensure checklists are completed.
- Document production totals, staffing changes, and shift notes.
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in manufacturing, packaging, or printing (required).
- Prior leadership or team lead experience (required).
- Mechanical troubleshooting skills (preferred).
- Forklift certification (preferred, or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Stand/walk for long periods (8–12 hrs).
- Lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Bend, reach, and work in tight spaces when performing maintenance.
- Work in a noisy, fast-paced production environment.
