We are seeking a dedicated and energetic cook to join our Childcare Center team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparking healthy meals and serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks to the children. Responsibilities
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with dietary guidelines and menu plans
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards by following sanitizing procedures and proper food handling techniques
- Support menu planning efforts, incorporating dietary restrictions and preferences for diverse needs
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including ovens, mixers, and food preparation tools
- Ensure adherence to food safety management practices during food production and service
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high-volume meal production meets quality standards
- Document meal preparation processes, dietary requirements, and safety protocols accurately
Qualifications
- Previous dietary aide experience or food service background preferred
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and safe food handling practices
- Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation in a high-volume setting
- Familiarity with cooking techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and food production methods
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment efficiently and safely in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knife skills and culinary experience are advantageous
- Experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is beneficial
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in food safety management
- Prior catering experience or fine dining exposure is a plus
