Duties

- Execute food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients with precision and safety.
- Cook menu items efficiently while adhering to food safety protocols and sanitation standards.
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining presentation quality.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts to ensure a safe kitchen environment.
- Handle food with care, following proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure freshness.
Skills
- Proven experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable, demonstrating knowledge of specialized meal preparation.
- Strong background in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments with a focus on food industry standards.
- Excellent knife skills coupled with proficiency in food preparation techniques such as cooking, meal prep, and plating.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for handling, storing, and serving food safely.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with menu planning, catering, and serving large groups is a plus.
