Would train on 1st shift - Then move to 3rd Shift after 2-3 months
An aerospace CNC operator sets up, adjusts, and operates computer numerical control (CNC) machines to manufacture precision aircraft and defense components. They work with exotic materials (e.g., titanium, inconel, composites), maintain tight tolerances, and perform in-process quality inspections using precision measuring tools.
Core Responsibilities
- Machine Setup: Read engineering blueprints and set-ups, select proper tooling, and input offsets to execute CNC programs.
- Quality Assurance: Utilize precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gages) to verify part dimensions against strict aerospace standards. [1]
- Machine Operation: Monitor machining performance, change cutting tools and fixtures, and make minor program edits at the controller when necessary.
- Compliance & Documentation: Accurately complete quality inspection logs, maintain accurate part counts, and adhere to strict safety guidelines.
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
