Ambient Recruiting is partnering with a growing manufacturing company in Petoskey to hire a dependable Packager to support daily production operations. In this role, you'll package finished plastic products, inspect products for quality, prepare materials for shipment, and help keep the production line running efficiently.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Packager, you'll:
- Safely move finished plastic products from the production line into appropriate packaging
- Package products according to customer specifications and work order requirements
- Verify skid configurations and pallet patterns meet customer standards
- Inspect finished products and communicate quality concerns to the Line Operator
- Maintain accurate packaging and handling procedures throughout production
- Move skids of finished product using a pallet jack
- Use packaging tools including measuring tapes, glue guns, tape guns, box cutters, and cut-resistant gloves
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Follow good housekeeping practices and workplace safety procedures
- Assist with additional production-related duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
Successful candidates typically have:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Commitment to workplace safety and product quality
- Ability to read and follow work instructions in English
- Ability to accurately read a measuring tape
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a production environment
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing or production experience
- Previous packaging experience
- Experience using pallet jacks
- Experience working with hand tools or packaging equipment
- Previous experience working a 12-hour shift

Real Talk
This is an active production position in a manufacturing environment. You'll spend your shift packaging finished products, inspecting quality, stacking and palletizing materials, and ensuring customer specifications are met.
The position requires standing for up to 12 hours per shift, along with frequent bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Employees may regularly lift up to 60 pounds and will use pallet jacks to move finished products.
The work environment may include varying temperatures, including hot and cold conditions typical of a manufacturing facility. Success in this role comes from being dependable, safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and able to maintain quality and productivity throughout the shift.
