Job Summary
The Local Table is in search of a morning Prep Cook to assist with setting up for the day's operation. This person will open and work with the team to prepare the days fresh ingredients and assist making our in-house batched menu items.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, slicing, and chopping vegetables, fruits, and proteins using proper knife skills and slicing techniques.
- Assist in washing and preparing dishes for service.
- Follow food safety standards in production, handling, and storage to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment to uphold safety standards in the kitchen.
- Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs.

- Wednesday, Thursday & Friday mornings
- 7am to approx 11am
- 1307 7th Ave in Downtown Hendersonville, NC
Requirements
- Arrive promptly and begin prepertions before opening hours.
- Previous experience is suggested but not required.
- Willingness to take courses if necessary for good practice techniques.
- Good knife skills.
- Familiarity with a variety of produce and ingredients.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude to collaborate effectively with culinary staff.
