Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktail and spirits service, ensuring presentation standards are met
- Process sales transactions smoothly while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with basic math accuracy
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in dining areas, including bussing tables and food handling procedures
- Assist with food preparation when needed and support kitchen staff to ensure timely service
- Demonstrate excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
- Follow food safety protocols and proper sanitation practices to uphold health standards in food service environments
- Support team members with host/hostess duties or cashiering during busy periods to ensure seamless operations
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable enhances efficiency in order processing
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Experience in fine dining environments or high-volume restaurants is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with excellent time management skills
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and handling cash confidently
