Weldon Coffee is an owner-operated specialty coffee shop rooted in craftsmanship, hospitality, and community. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing their needs promptly
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales efficiently and accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food prep stations and seating areas
- Handle cash transactions, perform cashiering duties, and manage cash handling with integrity
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and compliance
- Assist in food preparation and serving light snacks or baked goods as needed
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers quickly while maintaining high standards
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or background in coffee service is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems like Square
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced café environment
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Experience with food preparation, serving, or retail math is a plus
