CDL A LIVESTOCK OWNER/OPERATORJob Summary
Brubaker Trucking is seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL Class A Owner/Operator to join our growing livestock transportation team. As a Livestock Owner/Operator, you will safely transport livestock throughout the Midwest while providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the humane care of all animals in transit.
This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to operate independently while representing Brubaker Trucking in a professional manner. We are looking for experienced drivers who take pride in their equipment, value customer relationships, and are committed to delivering livestock safely and on time.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A tractor and livestock trailer in accordance with all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Transport livestock safely while maintaining proper animal welfare standards.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of tractor and trailer.
- Monitor livestock throughout transport and address any issues as needed.
- Load and unload livestock in a safe and efficient manner.
- Complete all required paperwork, electronic logs, and trip documentation accurately.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding schedules, delays, and customer needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional appearance of equipment.
- Follow all biosecurity and washout procedures between designated loads.
- Maintain compliance with Hours of Service regulations and all applicable federal and state laws.
- Represent Brubaker Trucking professionally with customers, producers, sale barns, and processing facilities.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A License.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable CDL driving experience preferred.
- Previous livestock hauling experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
- Clean driving record with a strong commitment to safety.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and overnight trips when necessary.
- Ability to safely load and unload livestock.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Must meet all DOT physical and drug testing requirements.

Pay: $4,000.00 - $6,500.00 per week
