Brown & Company CPAs PLLC is a certified public accounting firm that provides accounting services to the federal government. We are presently seeking an experienced Auditor to support several federal audit engagements.
The Auditor will perform the following tasks, duties, and functions with a significant degree of independence and provide status reports. Audit functions include:
- Conducting financial statements audits.
- Evaluating the application of U.S. generally accepted accounting principles
- Performing audit engagements following AICPA standards, GAO Financial Audit Manual, and or Government Auditing Standards.
- Conducting internal control assessment.
- Conduct risk assessments.
- Conducting substantive testing.
- Evaluating compliance with applicable Federal laws and regulations.
- Documenting audit procedures, audit findings, and recommendations.
- Preparing audit reports.
- Subject to Federal Background Investigation and meeting government security requirements
- All work will be performed at the client’s site (Washington DC) or Brown & Company office. Minimum experience includes 7 years of auditing experience.
